Picanha is a popular Brazilian beef cut. It is noted for being a tender and tasty piece of meat found on the back of the steer. Picanha’s flavor comes from the fat coating that surrounds it.
Picanha is typically prepared on grills or in the oven with the fat facing upwards, allowing the fat to melt and penetrate the meat, making it even more delicious. To bring out the natural flavor of the meat, only coarse salt is used.
