PRIME ROAST RIB

Prime Rib Roast Recipe
If you’re looking to impress at your next dinner or holiday celebration, a prime rib roast is the way to go! Here’s a simple, flavorful recipe that guarantees tender and juicy results.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Prime Rib   (4-6 lbs (2.72 kilograms))
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp fresh thyme (chopped)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232.22 degrees Celsius) (230°C (446 degrees Fahrenheit)).
  2. Pat the prime rib dry with paper towels, then rub it generously with olive oil, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the roast on a rack inside a roasting pan, fat side up. This allows the fat to render while cooking.
  4. Roast the prime rib at 450°F (232.22 degrees Celsius) (230°C (446 degrees Fahrenheit)) for 15 minutes to sear the outside. Then reduce the temperature to 325°F (162.78 degrees Celsius) (165°C (329 degrees Fahrenheit)) and roast for 1.5-2 hours, depending on the size of the roast and your preferred level of doneness. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature: 120°F (48.89 degrees Celsius) (49°C (120.2 degrees Fahrenheit)) for rare, 130°F (54.44 degrees Celsius) (54°C (129.2 degrees Fahrenheit)) for medium-rare, and 140°F (60 degrees Celsius) (60°C (140 degrees Fahrenheit)) for medium.
  5. Once done, remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for 15-20 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
  6. Slice and serve with your favorite sides!

Enjoy a perfectly cooked prime rib that’s sure to be the star of your meal this holiday season!
